It’s been another active year for Bruce Springsteen, and at age 65 he shows no signs of slowing down. Springsteen, who celebrates his birthday today, completed a 2-year world tour in May, including 2014 stops in Charlotte and Raleigh and a return performance (his third) at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. He’s scheduled to headline the November 5th Stand Up For Heroes benefit, an evening of music and comedy that raises funds for injured service members and their families. Springsteen has performed at the event every year since it was first staged in 2007. Last year, he played a three-song acoustic set, told dirty jokes and auctioned off an electric guitar, an hour of personal guitar lessons and an invitation to watch him record at his home studio. Bidding stopped at $250,000. The Boss also remains active in the studio – in the past 12 years he has released seven albums – the preceding 12 years produced only three.

To commemorate his 65th, Monmouth University, home of the Springsteen archives, is auctioning a 20×30 limited edition print from the May 9, 1974 show in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Details here.
